Safety and Maintenance
Through a partnership with Block by Block, the Downtown Ambassadors serve Downtown Jackson by providing safety, cleaning and landscaping services in the 66-block area that makes up the Business Improvement District.
Block by Block has successfully partnered with over 25 business improvement districts in merging various clean and safe programs. Our Ambassadors are divided into two groups consisting of Safety Ambassadors and Cleaning Ambassadors. These two teams are cross-trained with all of the skills necessary in providing both cleaning and safety services, as well as providing community service in an urban environment.
The Downtown Ambassadors are on the streets Monday – Saturday from 7am – 7:30pm and Sunday from 7am-3:30pm. If you need assistance or see anything that needs to be brought to their attention, they can be reached at 601-862-1156 or 601-862-1017.
Securitas Security Services USA Inc. has recently become a part of our safety program. Securitas officers will patrol during the hours when the Downtown Ambassadors are not on the streets. To contact our new afterhours Safety Guides, please call 601-720-4884.
