The inaugural Welty Biennial was announced today at the Mississippi Museum of Art (the Museum), marking one year before the event will be held from April 10 to July 3, 2015. The Welty Biennial is a twelve week fine arts festival celebrating Eudora Welty as an American visionary, author, photographer, and thinker.

The World of Ballet Comes Downtown

The 10th USA International Ballet Competition will be held on June 14-29, 2014 in Downtown Jackson. Nearly 100 dancers from 20 countries will descend upon the city of Jackson and compete in downtown at Thalia Mara Hall.
